Short Bio

Anna Haley was born and raised in Germantown, Tennessee. She developed a love for photography when she was seven years old after her parents gave her a camera to take on a family trip to Europe. Throughout her life, she traveled the world, capturing different people and cultures on film through her unique perspective. Ms. Haley continued to develop her talent with this medium by studying photography at Mississippi State University, where she completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree. Since completing her BFA, Ms. Haley’s work has been showcased and published, earning multiple awards in the southern region of the United States. Ms. Haley pursued additional education and training at Southwest Tennessee Community College, expanding her expertise from photography to include graphic design and interactive multimedia. Between her life-long passion for the visual arts, her extensive training in photography, graphic design, and multimedia, and her diverse experiences, art lovers can continue to expect great works to be borne through Ms. Haley’s heart and mind.

Career Summary

Anna Haley has extensive education and experience in creating and perfecting visual art. She is well
versed in color theory, composition, perspective, design layout, lightening, and gradients. She is adept at
developing, retouching, formatting, and archiving photos using various programs. Ms. Haley served as the
creative director for At Home Memphis & Mid-South magazine for four years, creating layout, writing copy, and
perfecting images for 48 magazines during her tenure. In addition to her experience
as a creative director, she has more than 10 years of experience as a freelance photographer. Ms. Haley
has photographed weddings, corporate events, special celebrations (e.g., bar mitzvahs), holiday parties,
multi-million-dollar fundraisers (e.g., St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital), political figures, and celebrity
showcases (e.g., an exclusive event featuring “Uncle Si” from Duck Dynasty at Horseshoe Casino). She has
been mentored by and worked with photographers such as Don Putnam, Don Lawler, Hal Jaffe, and
Rick Grainger and has studied under well-renowned, awarded visual artists such as Brent Funderburk.

In addition to her expertise in photography, Ms. Haley has had a successful graphic design and production
career. She has created illustrations for a law firm, eye clinic, and retail business. Her graphics will be
included in the feature film, “The Way Out,” which is scheduled to be released in theatres in 2022.
Regarding her educational history, Ms. Haley completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an
emphasis in photography at Mississippi State University (MSU). While attending MSU, Ms. Haley served
as the graphic designer for the Campus Activity Board, where she created flyers for Ben & Jerry’s Ice
Cream and Spike Lee (director, producer, screenwriter, and actor). Her photographs have been published
in magazines, displayed in galleries, exhibited on the jumbotron at Mississippi State University, and earned
multiple awards and honors.

In May 2021, Ms. Haley graduated from Southwest Tennessee Community College (STCC) with two
Associate of Arts degrees in interactive multimedia production and graphic design. She graduated
summa cum laude, with a 4.0 GPA. While studying at STCC, Ms. Haley became proficient in Photoshop,
InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, WordPress, HTML/CSS, Dreamweaver, and Microsoft Office Suite.

director of a magazine, possession of three college degrees focusing on visual art, and personal passion
